A brand-new slab settling on fill and a 1970s basement taking on water are different problems, and Blue Springs sends us plenty of both. The inspection is free either way.

Wet basements in Blue Springs are almost always a soil and drainage problem. The clay around Jackson County doesn't drain. It holds water and pushes it against your foundation walls for months after every storm. We stop it at the source.
Two different problems out here — newer subdivisions settling on fill, older neighborhoods with foundations that have been fighting clay for decades. We've worked on both.
Everything structural and moisture-related. Piers, anchors, drains, pumps, crawl space repair, insulation, concrete lifting.

The Jackson County clay holds water against the foundation after every storm and pushes it through cracks and the floor joint under pressure. The 70s-era basements out here have been taking that pressure for decades, and newer homes can leak where settling on fill has opened gaps in the walls.
For most homes it's an interior perimeter drain tied to a sump pump that collects water at the floor-wall joint and pumps it out. Leaking cracks get epoxy or polyurethane injection. We determine the right setup during the free inspection rather than selling one fix for every basement.
On the east side of the metro, yes. The storms that flood basements here are the same ones that cut the power, and a pump with no electricity does nothing. A battery backup keeps it running through the outage, which is exactly when you need it.
A single crack injection is relatively low cost, while a full interior drain and sump system runs higher depending on the size of the basement and how many walls we address. The inspection and written estimate are free.
