Prairie Village is post-war Johnson County at its best, Cape Cods and ranches from the 40s and 50s. Those foundations are pushing 70 years on this clay, and most are overdue for a checkup.

Sunken concrete around Prairie Village usually traces back to the soil. The Johnson County clay underneath washes out or compresses, and the slab follows it down. We lift it back with polyurethane foam injection: penny-sized holes, foam that cures in minutes, and you're parking on the driveway the same day. Compared to tearing out and repouring, you're usually looking at about half the cost.
Classic post-war Johnson County — ranches and splits from the '50s and '60s on their original foundations. After 60-70 years on this clay, those foundations need work.

Decades of Johnson County clay swelling, shrinking, and washing out from under the slab. On homes this old the original driveways, walks, and steps have had 60 or 70 years for the soil beneath them to move, so it's common to find concrete that has settled and pitched out of level.
We can, as long as the concrete is solid. A lot of the original front walks and porch steps on these post-war homes have settled toward the house, which sends water back at the foundation. Lifting them back to grade fixes the trip hazard and the drainage in one shot.
In most cases by a wide margin, and it's done in an afternoon instead of a week of demo and curing. Lifting keeps your existing concrete rather than leaving a mismatched new slab next to older work. We'll tell you straight if a slab is too broken to save.
Very little. The equipment stays on the truck, we drill a handful of penny-sized holes, and the only cleanup is patching those with color-matched filler. There's no machinery tearing up the yard the way a replacement would.
